Become Energy Independent and Conserve
Energy efficiency means you do
what you are doing now but use less energy to do it. It is possible
to live off the grid. But it takes work, and I have more work
to do here.
LEDs are a perfect examply of
efficiency. Rather than using 85% of the electricity to create
heat, and only 15% to create usable light, an LED generates very
little heat and uses most of the energy to create light.
This list will grow, but here
are some more things to do.
Convert to LED lighting
Drive less and more slowly
Turn off the lights and appliances
that are doing nothing to add to your comfort
